1971 Built Royal Mail Sorting Van 'Large Doors' NSX Dia 731
ROYAL MAIL train formations varied over the years, but typical formations always had more stowage vans that sorting vans, normally a sorting van would be in-between two stowage vans, so in a typical formation you could get two sorting vans and five or six stowage vans, in later years GUV's and BGs wire used in most formations, these being produced by Bachmann. Please note that all Royal Mail formations had brake vans attached, these are either formed from Brake Stowage Vehicles or BG's.If high value items were carried these often were stored in the 'NSX' Dia 731 vehicles which had secure radion communications fitted.

Paints: Blue Era: Post Office Red, Roof Grey, Underfloor Black.
Transfer to Suit applied livery as above.(Post Office Red has two era's, either Mid 1980's Yellow or Modern Era livery in White)
